Description of each week
Each week has a main track of Lindy hop targeting beginner-intermediate to advanced level dancers. We will offer different classes for the different levels making sure to give you the optimal learning experience with a maximum of 8 couples per level. There will also be all-level classes about fundamental techniques and insights, where the entire group comes together.
In the past, people in each week have progressed much faster than at any other workshop. That’s why, throughout the week, we will help you find the perfect class for your specific needs. Remember, with only 8 couples per level, we have the possibility to tailor your experience throughout the week.
Besides the Lindy hop track, each week also has a different “bonus track” to spice things up. The bonus tracks are designed to give you more experience in other aspects of Swing dancing. When you come to SwingSummit, you don’t “have to” participate in all the bonus programs. There are plenty of opportunities to enrich your stay with other activities or pick your favorite teacher’s mind about whatever question you have in the open practice sessions.

Aerial track: Ali&Katja and the SwingStep Crew by focusing on aerials in the bonus track. You’ll have a full week of Airstep training. This way, you will not only learn how to train for an aerial, but you will actually be able to do the aerials by the end of the week. You’ll get to put it all together in little jam sequences, so that when you get back home, you’ll be the one everybody goes crazy about in the jam circle! One entire week of training allows you to not only “kinda’ get it” but really work on your aerials until you nail them!
